Shambhala Sun Camp starts on Friday July 28th after lunch and ends on Friday 4th August before lunch. Youth also have the opportunity to practice sitting meditation and meditation in action through meditative walking, where they learn to focus their attention and stay present in the moment. Similar to scouting camps, we engage in practices that instil discipline and teamwork in a lighthearted and playful way. Through a series of fun and engaging activities such as walking, cooking, meditation and games, participants develop teamwork skills and learn to create meaningful connections with others.
Our program is designed to provide an opportunity for campers to take time away from technology and their busy day-to-day lives, to experience living simply in nature. Sun Camp takes place in a large field, right on the center’s property, where we take the time to live simply, and enjoy the great outdoors by sleeping in tents under the starry sky. Registration is closed for this programme.
